Pat (Brown) Hensley

Died: Mon., Sep. 24, 2018 Pasty Sue Hensley 82, passed away September 24 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Pat was born March 5, 1936 in Sunshine, KY. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Pauline Brown; her husband, Bill Hensley; her brother in law, Glenn Hensley and her son in law, Mike Blanton. She was a member of the Sunshine Baptist Church.
Pat graduated from Harlan High School in 1954 then went to Fort Sanders School of Nursing and graduated 1957. She was a Registered Nurse at Harlan Appalachian Regional Healthcare for over 40 years working in labor and delivery department and the education department, she taught numerous nurse aide and LPN classes and held many board positions concerning healthcare in Harlan County before her retirement. Pat was also an avid Kentucky fan always cheering for the Cats.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her three daughters, Paula Sue Blanton, Robin Lynn Tidwell and fiancée Thad Tatum, Julia Allison Smith and husband, Michael. Three grandchildren, Michael Blanton and wife Kerry, Heather and husband Needham Saylor, and Brittany and husband Captain Lawrence Rohling U.S. Army. Her pride and joy three great-grandchildren, Brayden Jace, William Edward, and Miller Jude Rohling. Also surviving is her brother, Jim and wife Nell Brown; her brother-in-law, Dwayne Hensley; her nephews, Danny Brown and wife Debbie, Todd Hensley and wife Lizanne; her nieces, Marsha and husband Dave McFarland and Kim and husband Bernie McCarty. Her precious dog, Molly and a host of wonderful friends and fellow HARH retirees that enjoyed their monthly Tuesday Meetings at Pizza Hut.
Visitation services will be Friday, September 28, 2018 in the Chapel of Henson and Rich Funeral Home from the hours of 4pm-7pm. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 am at Henson and Rich Funeral Home with Preacher Jim Johnson leading the service with burial following at Resthaven Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael Smith, Thad Tatum, Michael Blanton, Dan Brown, Todd Hensley, Needham Saylor, Captain Lawrence Rohling and Brayden Rohling.
