John W. Hunt, aged 60, was killed at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 31, 1946 by a train on the Southern railroad at the trestle in Maryville, Tennessee. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mae Herron Hunt; three sisters, Mrs. Eva Yates of Madisonville, Tennessee, Mrs. Ida Yates of Vonore, Tennessee and Mrs. Henry Mills of Vonore, Tennessee; three brothers, Joseph R. Hunt of Vonore, Tennessee, Robert H. Hunt of Vonore, Tennessee and Ed Hunt of Vonore, Tennessee. Funeral services were at 11:00 AM, Sunday, September 1, 1946 with burial in Magnolia Cemetery, Maryville, Tennessee.
