Michael G. Gnapp Jr., 80, of Fords, passed away on May 19, 2015, in Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark. He was born July 26, 1934 in Jersey City. He worked for the Middlesex County Parks Department. He served in the US Army. Michael was actively involved in Fords-Clara Barton Little League.
He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Ann Gnapp, in 2005, his sisters, Barbara Romano and Anna Homola, and brother, John Gnapp. Michael is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Kiraly and her husband, Arthur of Fords; three sons, Michael Gnapp and his wife Angela of Fords; John Gnapp and his wife Karin of Matawan and Christopher Gnapp of Fords, 10 grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Icona of Nutley.
Visitation will be Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10am at the funeral home, followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Metuchen.
