She was retired from GE Appliance Park in Louisville and a member of the Evangelical Tabernacle Church in Louisville.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Michael Ayres.
Survivors include two sons, Clarence Ayres (Pamela) and Gerald (Jerry) Ayres (Sherry); two daughters, Winoa (Ann) Pilkington (Lynn) and Darlene Cochran (Timothy); a sister, Bertha Johnson; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
