Dorothea Collier Henderson was the daughter of Robert and Marcheneil (Ginny) Bass Collier. She was an identical twin and one of six total siblings. In 1941 she married Allen Robert Henderson and together they were the parents of 4 son though unfortunately one died at the age of 2 months. Allen was a US Army officer who served in World War II after which the family moved to Washington DC, Germany, and back to various locations in the US finally settling in Colorado where Allen died in 1964 leaving her as a single mom of three sons. Dorothea moved to Fort Dix and worked as a secretary and in 1967 moved to Florida where she worked at the Kennedy Space Center with her twin sister Patric. She retired in the early 1980's and moved back to Colorado.
