Ronald M. Boyd

Windsor, Ronald Martin Boyd, 70, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 at his residence. He was the husband of Connie J. (Koontz) Boyd. The couple celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on August 8, 2017.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York.

Mr. Boyd was born in Windsor Township, on October 27, 1947, the son of the late Chester and Dorothy (Lentz) Boyd. He worked as an electrician for the former York International for 31 years.

Mr. Boyd was a member of Yorkanna Game and Gun Club, UAW local 1872, and Red Lion American Legion post 543. He enjoyed spending weekends at his cabin in the South Mountains, where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War and received two bronze Stars and a Purple Heart.

Mr. Boyd leaves two daughters, Kathy R. Lehr of Red Lion and Kelly A. Paules and her husband, Brent of Red Lion; four grandchildren, Brady and Bryn Lehr and Erik and Evan Paules; five brothers, Ray Boyd and his wife, Norma, Robert Boyd and his late wife, Ethel, Larry Boyd and his wife, Mary, Brad Boyd and his wife, Sharon, and Gary Boyd and his wife, Colley; a sister, Gloria Hutcheson and her husband, Jerry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
