Kenneth Griffin "Pete" McElreath, 78, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Randolph Health in Asheboro. Born July 13, 1939 in Randolph County. Pete was the son of the late Crawford William and Ella Wright McElreath. He graduated from Farmer High School and was retired from Sheraton Finance after 35 years of service. Pete served in the NC National Guard. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed woodworking. Pete was a "jack of all trades" and could fix anything. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lee, Alvin, Don and Hoyt McElreath; and sisters, Bertis Richardson. Helen Loflin and Hazel Small. Survivors include his wife, Janet McElreath of the home; brother, Louie McElreath and wife, Faye of Asheboro; sisters-in-law, Eunice McElreath of Jackson Creek, Betty McElreath of Trinity, Carroll Ridge of Jackson Creek, Jolene Freeman and husband, Tommy of Farmer; and several nieces and nephews
