Siegbert S. Kasten was born 1936 in Germany, the son of Henry Heinz Kasten and Lottie Durlacher. He drown suddenly Sunday September 2, 1956 age 20 a resident of 2761 Euclid Heights Boulevard, Cleveland Hts, Ohio. His father said Siegbert was recently promoted to the propulsion testing lab.

Siegbert apparently drowned when he stepped into a deep hole in Lake Erie just off Headlands State Park near Fairport Sunday night. His body washed ashore as park policemen, coast guardsmen and state highway patrolmen searched.

His 4 companions: Bruce Clark, 20, a John Carroll University student; Mary Kay Lynch, 17 of 2581 Norfolk Rd, Cleveland Hts and Vivian Rosenfelder, 17, of 2608 Warrensville Center Road, University Hts, said they had first gone to a baseball game, then to the park. Both Kasten and Clark were players on the Couer de Lion softball team of DeMolay.

SIEGBERT'S FATHER: Henry Heinz Kasten born 1913 in Germany, died Oct 24 1960 age 47 at Mt Sinai Medical Center, Cleveland, residence 3761 Euclid Heights Blvd. A production manager for the Phil-Mar Corp. Buried in Zion Memorial Park Cemetery, brother of Ruly and Louis Grad.

SIEGBERT'S MOTHER: Lottie (nee Durlacher) born March 14, 1913 in Germany, died Oct 10, 2007 age 94, in a Columbiana Co, OH nursing home, formerly of Mayfield Hts, OH and Manheim, Germany.

Siegbert's funeral was Tues, Sept 4, 1956 at Berkowitz & Sons Funeral Chapel, 818 E. 105 St, Cleveland OH. Burial in Zion Memorial Park Cemetery, Gate of Hope Section.
