Nathan G. Davis was born in Pa. in 1812. He married Amanda McVeigh in 1837 in Belmont County, Ohio. Nathan enlisted Aug. 6, 1862 in Steubenville, Ohio. He saw action with the 98th Regiment, Co, B. Ohio Infantry. He was honorably discharged May 17, 1865 at Davenport, Indiana. Military records show He was buried in High Hill Cemetery, Cambridge, Ohio and a military stone was provided. Children are Obediah Barnes b 1832. Obediah was adopted from Obediah Barnes Sr. in 1834 by Nathan Davis when he was two. Obediah changed his name to Obediah Davis later in life.
