David W. Fowler, 68, of 2244 California Road, died Saturday at his home.
Born Feb. 5, 1931, in Pitcairn, a son of Everett and Elsie Lincoln Fowler, he attended Pitcairn schools. His first marriage ended in divorce. He was married to Ann Winters Rumpf on Dec. 28, 1990, by Fowler Town Justice Penny Bogardus, in Hailesboro.
Mr. Fowler, who lived in Macomb since 1974, retired as a foreman at Elmwood Tank and Piping, Tonawanda.
He served in the Army during the Korean War and was a life member of Gouverneur Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6338 and American Legion, James Maloy Post 65.
Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Kathleen Lynos, Brick, N.J., and Joyce A. Rood, Reseda, Calif.; two stepsons, William C. Rumpf Jr., Gibsonton, Fla., and Scott R. Rumpf, Bremerton, Wash.; and nine grandchildren.
Three brothers, Ervin, Judson and George Fowler Sr., and two sisters, Marjorie Fowler and Aletha Apple, died before him.
There will be no services or calling hours. Burial will be in Hailesboro Cemetery.
Arrangements are with French Funeral Home, Gouverneur.
