Mrs. M. W. Rinehart Passed Away Monday

Mrs. M. W. Rinehart, better known in this community as "Grandma" Rinehart, passed away early Monday morning, January 19, after an illness of several months. At the time of her death, she was 82 years 9 months, and 9 days old. She had been a resident of this community for 31 years coming here with her husband in 1921.

Emma Maire Lemay was born at Mendota, Minn., on April 10, 1859, and has spent most of her life n Minnesota. On November 28, 1885, she was united in marriage to M. W. Rinehart at Cerookston, Minn. Her husband preceded her in death passing away February 28, 1933.

She leaves to mourn her passing ten children; Ovid, Alfa, Ernest, and Mrs. Roert Henry, of Littlefork; Elmer, of Wells, Minn.; Mrs. Arnold Bauer of Anoka, Minn.; Mrs. Erwin Babcodk; Mrs. William Henry, Mrs. Gabe Evans, and Mrs. Roy Kinsey, all of Glendive, Mont. Also surviving are 45 grandchildren 7 great-grandchildren and 3 brothers and sisters.

The passing of this beloved old lady will be deeply felt not only by relatives but by all with whom she came in contact. Her many kind words and deeds will long live as a shrine to her memory.

Children: Emma (21), Adolph (16), Ovida (14), Philomena (12), Alfred (10), Joseph (9), Alvina (7), Ernest (5), Euphemia (3), and Delphis (1).

1900 Census: Martin W Rinehart (38) born September 1861 in Minnesota, was living at Beauford, Blue Earth, Minnesota. Occupation - farming. He was married to Emma Rinehart (41) born April 1859 in Minnesota. They were married in 1885 and had been married 15 years. His parents were both born in New York, and her parents births are listed as French Canada. They had 10 children, all living. Children: Arthur E (13) born March 1887, Joseph O (11) born August 1888, Alfa Martin (10) born October 1889, M. Olive (8) born December 1891, Aurilia E (7) born February 1892, Agnes A (7) born March 1893, Blanche D (6) born April 1894, Mary O (4) born December 1895, Ernest E (3) born April 1897, and Ruth (1) born April 1899.

1910 Census: Martin Rinehart (48) born about 1862 in Minnesota, was living at Dunbar, Faribault, Minnesota. Occupation - farming. He was married to Emma Rinehart (51) born about 1859 in Minnesota. Children: Agnes (17), Blanche (15), Odelia (14), Ernest (12), and Ruth (11).

1920 Census: Martin W Rinehart (58) born about 1862 in Minnesota, was living in School District 73, Dawson, Montana. Occupation - farming. He was married to Emma Rinehart (60) born about 1860 in Minnesota. Children: Alfa (30) Blanche (25), Odelia (24), ERnest (22), and Ruth (20). Emma's single brother was living with them - Delphis Lemay (40) born about 1880 in Minnesota, was a common laborer.

1930 Census: Martin W Rinehart (68) born about 1862 in Minnesota, was living at Jameson, Koochiching, Minnesota. Occupation - farming. He was married to Emma Rinehart (71) born about 1859 in Minnesota.
