I am honored to have called Vern my friend for many years. He was a veteran, a father, grandfather, husband, co-worker, and more. He was also one of the most caring men I have ever met. He would do anything for anyone. I will miss him dearly.
I will always think of him at his lake house on Lake Gaston. He loved the lake, boating, fishing, and being with his family.
Survived by his wife of 37 years, two daughters, four grandchildren, his mother and five siblings. Predeceased by his first wife, father, and brother.
