Madeline (Allen) Cadieux was born in late February, 1862 in Tennessee, the daughter of George Campbell Allen Sr (1818–1889) and his wife Martha Russell (Overton) Allen (1823–1875). {George and Martha were married on October 27, 1842 in Davidson County, Tennessee.}


She was married to Clarence Walter Cadieux, and by the time of the 1920 census, she was a widow.


Living at 1913 Hayes Street in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, Madeline was 73 years old and a widow when she died at 1600 Lischey Avenue on June 12, 1935 at a local hospital, cause unknown.


Survivors included sons George Cadieux in Nashville, Overton Cadieux of Santa Barbara, California, brother Sam M Allen at Nashville, nephews Sam M Allen Jr in Indianapolis, Indiana, Joseph W Allen of New Orleans, Louisiana and Armstrong Allen at Nashville, niece Mrs Belle Allen Holby in Nashville.


Requiem High Mass was on June 13th at the Cathedral of the Incarnation, and burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
