Folk figure. New York City Police Department's firearms training poster model. Since the 1960's his likeness was used as target practice for thousands of NYPD officers until 2008 when the target was changed. And only then was his identity revealed. Debate in police circles went on for years about who really was the target, some claiming it was Ernest Borgnine, others Rocky Graziano. One day at target practice, Oldshein was asked to pose for a picture in a boxing stance and he became immortalized.
