DEATH UNDER AN ANAESTHETIC.
During Teeth Extraction.
The death occurred under tragic circumstances at. Wynyard yesterday afternoon of Mrs. Evelyn May Abblitt (28), who resided with her husband at Calder, near Wynyard. Mrs. Abblitt visited Wynyard to have some teeth extracted at the surgery of Mr. W. Lucadou-Wolls. An anaesthetic was administered by Dr. W. Smellie. After several teeth had been extracted the patient suddenly collapsed, and all restorative 1 methods were of no avail. Trooper M. P. Elcho were notified, and the body was removed to the morgue at the Spencer Hospital. The matter was also reported to the Coroner (Mr. G. W. Easton), who ordered a post-mortem examination. An inquiry will be held at ll o'clock this morning. Mrs. Abblitt was well known in the Calder district, where she had resided for many years. Sho leaves a family of five young children. The funeral will leave the residence of Mr. John Abblitt, Main Road, Wynyard, at 2.45 p.m. to-morrow afternoon for St. Stephen's Church and the new public cemetery, Wynyard.
