Margie Louise Pigg, daughter of the late Francis and Zora (Mayberry) Macy was born February 3, 1925 and departed this life on May 12, 2017 at the Riverways Manor Nursing Home in Van Buren, MO. She had attained the age of ninety-two years, three months and nine days. Margie had resided in Van Buren for most of her life. She was of the Methodist faith. She grew up on a farm in Van Buren, MO. She was a School Teacher at Eastwood, then worked at Busman Fuse in St. Louis, MO., before returning back to the farm in 1973. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and reading. She always had a beautiful garden. She had a very gentle and caring personality, and was a very gracious host. Although she never had children of her own, she always considered many to be her own. On August 8, 1947, she was united in marriage to Paul Pigg in Van Buren, MO.; he preceded her in death on March 19, 2003. Survivors include many nieces and nephews, a special friend Ruth Harder and many relatives and friends who mourn her passing. In addition, to her husband and parents, Margie was preceded in death by one brother, John Levi Macy; two sisters, Mary Lee Jaco and Marie Louana Neal. Visitation will be begin for the public at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2017at the South Town General Baptist Church in Van Buren, MO., Hwy 103, with the funeral services following at 1:00 p.m. in the Church Chapel. Rev. Jeff Brake will be officiating. Burial: Van Buren City Cemetery in Van Buren, MO.
