John Franks was born on July 10, 1902 to Minnie and John W. Franks. He married Mary Lucielle Barringer on Dec. 23, 1960 in Mississippi. They both retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber, in Memphis, Tn. After retirement they moved to Verona Ms. where they lived until Mr. Franks became ill with cancer then they moved back to Memphis, to be closer to family and hospitals. John enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, wrestling. He was a medium weight boxer. He was a verteran of World War II. He loved spending time with his family. He went to be with the Lord on Oct. 3, 1979 at the Methodist Central hospital. He is survived by his wife
