David Trusvan Gaston, 83, of Athens, died Sunday, April 9, 2017, at his residence.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Johnson officiating. Burial is at Hester’s Cemetery. Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Spry Funeral Home.
Mr. Gaston was born January 30, 1934 in Limestone County. He was a member of Salem Church of Christ and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Monsanto and a farmer.
Survivors: Carolyn J. Gaston of Athens, Alabama; sons, Greg Gaston and wife Pam of Athens, Alabama and Stan Gaston and wife Stephanie of Lester, Alabama; granddaughter, Hannah Gaston of Auburn, Alabama; sister, Mildred Thompson of Lester, Alabama and several nieces and nephes.
Preceded in death by Parents: T.C. and Marie Gaston; grandson, David Austin Gaston; sister, Rachel Patterson.
Pallbearers will be Greg Gaston, Stan Gaston and men of Salem Church of Christ.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Athens Limestone Hospital Foundation for Respiratory.
