Ford G. Messenger, 88, of Medina Ohio passed away Tuesday January 8, 2002 at Medina General Hospital. He was born August 6, 1913 in Sharon Center Ohio and was a life time resident of Medina County. Mr. Messenger was a retired inspector from Columbia Gas after 32 years of service. He was a member of Medina United Methodist Church. He enjoyed golf and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and Browns. He served in the Army in World War II.
He is survived by his nieces Delores (Steven) Antal of Parma and Joyce (Robert) Brainard of Granger Township; step-daughter Lois (Larry) Nixon of Spencer; stepson Dwight Florence of Philadelphia; eight step grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and seven grand nieces and grand nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wives Evah (nee Knotts) and Blythe (nee Ward) and brother Ira.
Private family services will be held. The Rev. James Patterson will officiate.
Burial in Spring Grove Cemetery, Medina.
Visiting hours 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday at Waite & Son Funeral Home Medina Chapel 765 N. Court Street.
