SOUTH BEND - Mitchell (Mitch) B. Walinski Jr, 68, of South Bend, passed away on March 8, 2017 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN, following complications due to a sudden illness. He was born on April 10, 1948 in Chicago, IL to Mitchell B. and Phylis (Brennan) Walinski. Mitchell attended River Valley High School in Three Oaks, MI. Mitchell is survived by his 3 daughters, Michele (Richard) Piechocki of New Carlisle, Stephanie (Aaron) Gudino of Mishawaka and Valerie Walinski of South Bend; his 4 sons: Mitchell (Alison) Walinski III of Coldwater, MI, Daniel (Sofia) Camp of Orlando, FL, Jason Camp of South Bend and Zachary Walinski of South Bend: 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grand children and his brother, Mathew (Linda) Walinski of Virgina. Mitchell worked in various fields and traveled as much as possible. He loved to repair things and always had his ditty bag full of tools with him. The Memorial Service will be held on March 25th from 5pm to 11 pm at the American Legion Post 357, 5414 W Sample St. South Bend, IN. Our Family would also like to thank Dr Patel, Dr Rao and the many associates at Erlanger Hospital ICU who provided compassionate and understanding care to Mitchell and our family in his last moments.
