Memphis relatives yesterday received word of the death of Mrs. John V. Hogue, formerly of Benton, Miss., who died Friday at Etta Jima, an island off Japan. She was 39. Mrs. Hogue was the wife of Warrant Officer John V. Hogue of Benton, stationed on Etta Jima with the Army. The couple had been together overseas for three years. Mrs. Hogue's sister is Mrs. W.R. Byrum of 23 South McLean. Her husband said last night that the body will be returned to the United States for services at Benton.
