Robert (Bob) F. Supples went home to the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017 at 8:50 p.m. at his home, surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Bob was born Dec. 24, 1936 in Shenandoah, Virginia to William and Edna (Comer) Supples. He joined the United States Air Force, where he served his country for 20 years and 20 days. During this time, he served in Vietnam. While stationed at Grissom, he met and married Patricia Parkman on Sept. 10, 1961. She preceded him in death in November, 2008. After retiring from the Air Force, he went to work at Chrysler. After two years, he was laid off, and he then went to work in Civil Service at Grissom Air Force, where he worked an additional 20 years before retiring.
On Oct. 24, 2009, he married Charlotte (Schmidt) Pearson, who he met at Bunker Hill First Baptist Church where they both attended. Bob and Charlotte would often be seen walking hand in hand around Bunker Hill and the trails. Bob loved going to Florida in the winter and usually left every October, staying till around the end of March. While in Florida, they would attend First Baptist of Bloomingdale in Valrico, Florida.
Bob is survived by his wife Charlotte, Bunker Hill, his son Jim (Melody) Supples of Bunker Hill, and his daughter Roberta (Damon) Swart of Brandon, Florida. He is also survived by a grandson James Supples of Monticello, and a granddaughter Christina (Silas) Rich of Bunker Hill. Also, six great grandchildren, Trinity and Tristen of Lafayette, Damian and Byron of Monticello, and Grace and Kinsley Rich of Bunker Hill. He is also survived by two brothers and four sisters in Virginia.
Visitation will from 2 to 7 p.m. Jan. 20, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Bunker Hill. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at the church, with burial following at Springdale Cemetery. Pastor Richard Olson will officiate.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Allen Funeral Home in Bunker Hill, Indiana.
