She was born September 7, 1907 in Iola, Kansas to Smith David Ray and Annie Sullivan Ray. She was married to Leo M Renner on May 12, 1928. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on October 29, 1949. He proceded her in death on July 13, 1951.
She attended college in Saltwater, Oklahoma and taught school prior to her marriage. In 1946, she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah with her family as converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 1958, she received her degree from the University of Utah and taught for 14 years in the Salt Lake School District.
She is survived by five children, 20 grandchildren, and 40 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and four children: Roger, Gordon, Ina, and Wilber David.
