Mrs. Lawley was married to William Robert Lawley Jr. on April 21, 1943 by Chaplain L.R. Boyll in The Post Chapel, Altus Field (known today as Altus AFB), Jackson County, Oklahoma*. At that time, she was a bank employee in Dennison, TX*, her home town,and he was in the Army Air Corps. They were married for 56 years. Mr. Lawley was a World War II Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient.
Mrs. Lawley was chief clerk of the Alabama State Senate for over 15 years and was a past state president of the P.E.O. Sisterhood and member of Alabama Chapter G.
The obituary for Mrs. Lawley was published in the Montgomery Advertiser on Dec. 16, 2016.
