James Malcolm Williams, age 74, of Loudon, Tennessee, passed away Monday, March 25, 2002, at Park West Hospital. Retired U.S. Army Staff Sargeant, serving 21 years, and also serving in the Korean Conflict. Preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Myrtle Lee Wiggins Williams, and sister, Willie Kate Sloan. Survivors include sisters, Helen Hines of Loudon, Tennessee, Margaret Millsaps of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, half-brother, Sammy Williams of Vonore, Tennessee; step-sister, Frankie Murr of Loudon, Tennessee; brother-in-law, Hugh Sloan of Madisonville, Tennessee, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 27, 2002 in McGill-Karnes Chapel with Reverend Gene Russell officiating. Interment in Loudon County Memorial Gardens, Loudon County, Tennessee with full military honors conferred by Ivo Sander American Legion Post 120 and Huff VFW Post 5150. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 27, 2002 prior to the service at McGill-Karnes Funeral Home, Loudon, Tennessee.
