Erika was born to Rudolf and Wanda Biewald on September 15, 1921 in Breslau, Germany.
At the age of 26 she fell in love and married United States Army Master Sergeant Jess Adams, and came to the United States.
As a military wife, Erika was constantly relocating, making new friends and exploring American life. Erika attended Business College in Sheboygan Wisconsin, and worked as a professional stenographer and secretary.
After retirement, Jess and Erika traveled the world, and lived in Germany for five years. Along the way, Jess and Erika had three children.
Erika is survived by her daughter, Shannon Otteson Gosa of Tahlequah, Oklahoma and her two sons, Mike Adams and Steve Adams of Albuquerque, New Mexico, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Erika was preceded in death by her loving parents and her wonderful husband.
Erika will be remembered as a spirited lady who loved life and was always ready for adventure.
Erika will join her husband at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM with a memorial service and interment to be scheduled at a later date.
The family would like to send a special "thanks" to the staff and team at Brookdale Tramway Ridge for the loving care they provided Erika during her final days.
