Mary Vola Curtis Farmer Williams, born December 1, 1905, passed away Saturday, December 23, 1995. She was a 58 year member of the Loudon First Baptist Church. She worked as a textile inspector for C. H. Bacon Hosiery Mill. She was the last of 14 children. She was preceded in death by her parents, W. M. and Mary M. Lindsey Curtis; husband, James R. Farmer; husband, George Williams; and daughters, Mary Helen Farmer and Billie Sloan. Survivors: daughters, Mrs. Curtis (Frankie) Murr of Loudon, Tennessee, Helen Hines of Loudon, Tennessee, Mrs. Max (Margaret) Millsaps of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; sons, Sam Williams of Vonore, Tennessee and James M. Williams of Loudon, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 26, 1995 at McGill-Karnes Chapel with Reverend Bernard Courtney and Dr. Houston Inman officiating. Interment 9:00 AM, Wednesday, December 27, 1995 at Loudon County Memorial Gardens, Loudon County, Tennessee. Family receives friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 26, 1995 prior to the funeral at McGill-Karnes Funeral Home, Loudon, Tennessee. Memorial contributions may be made to the General Fund of the First Baptist Church, Wharf Street, Loudon, Tennessee, 37774.
