Ralph was a member of what our country refers to as America's Greatest Generation. A prime example. He answered the call to protect freedom and served as a patriot. During World War II, he served as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps. As a Bombardier assigned to the 8th Air Force stationed in England, he flew in 35 combat missions over Germany. He built and lived his life on the standards of what he believed our republic stood for. His wealth was a dedication of the values, hard work, love of family and honesty with integrity in his services to others. He was not a character but had character. He was not just smart but educated and a man of wisdom. He had honor and was respected. Ralph Henry Gieser Jr. was not just a guy, he was a Dude. He is survived my his wife of 60 years Joyce who passed away in 2009, daughters Linda, Joan, grandchildren Sean, Justin, Maggie, Brianna, Kassandra, granddaughter-in-law Allison and great grandchildren Kylie and Trenton.
