Carol was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was supportive of her husband, Merrill, through his many LDS Church callings but was also a ward and stake Primary and Relief Society president, a guide patrol leader, temple worker, and, surprisingly to her family, loved her calling as the stake camp director for the Young Women organization (she was not known for being a camper)! Carol loved to travel; if she wasn't at her home in Belmont, California, she could likely be found in Hawaii, London, or visiting her children and grandchildren. She was also a talented cook whether cooking for two or 200 hundred. In loving memory of Carol Elaine Higham, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, who passed away August 24, 2016, one month shy of her 78th birthday.
Survived By: Her husband of 59 years, Merrill; her children: Elizabeth (Tim), Catherine Parker, David (Pamela), and Andrew (Kristi); her sister, Patty Sweazey Engels; five grandchildren: Heather Kane Seeno, Brandon Kane, Meghan Kane Girard, Elaine Higham, Juliette Parker, Samantha and Alexander Higham; and two great-grandchildren: Andrew and Lyla Seeno.
