Perry Lane Harper, age 81 of Hendersonville, passed away at home on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 surrounded by family. He was born September 24, 1934 to Gladys and Herbert Harper. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, avid golfer, and fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 sister and 4 brothers. He is survived by his wife, Ellen; daughters, Karen Wassmer (Ron) of Middleton CT, Lucinda Turbeville (Jay) of Powell TN, and Tracey Hoehn (Dan) of Hendersonville; brother, William Franklin Harper (Toni) of Hendersonville; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday June 5 from 2:00PM until 4:00 PM at Austin & Bell Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will immediately follow at 4:00 PM. A private burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Portland.
