Mr. Jimmy Belvin, 50, died Saturday, July 18, 2015 near Midland, Texas in a tragic accident.

Jimmy was born January 27, 1965 in Artesia, New Mexico; the son of Richard Lynn Belvin and Mary Jean (Sadler) Belvin. He was an Artesia resident until moving to a Ranch outside of Roswell, in 1986. He moved from there to Roy, N.M., then resided for many years in Muleshoe, Texas and lastly in Odessa, Texas.

He was a Antique Stove restorer and loved working with his hands. He had a passion for genealogy, finding immense satisfaction in sharing his finds with his distant kinfolk. He was of the Methodist denomination.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his grandparents Doyle and Ruby Belvin, and A.C. and Mary Sadler; aunts and uncles Stan Belvin, Jim Belvin, Wanda Johnson, and Sharon Smith; and his best friend Russell Gillum.

Survivors include his parents Richard and Jeannie Belvin of Ruidoso, N.M.; sister Laurie Winchell and husband Darin of Midland, TX; nieces Shaylee, Taylor, and Ashlyn Winchell; aunts, uncles, and a host of cousins and numerous friends.

Monty Leavell will officiate at the services with burial at Acme Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Wilbanks, Johnny Smith, Michael Bennett, Ted Chumbley, Larry Martin, and
Neal Bledsoe.

Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25, at Terpening & Son Chapel.

He was a very special person and he will be missed terribly by all who got to know him.
