Ostella Murray Akins, 90, of Jasper, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Ridgeview Health Services in Jasper.
Visitation will be held today, June 19, 2016, at the Collins-Burke Funeral Home Parlor from 1 until 2 p.m., with funeral services immediately following. Burial will be held today, June 19, 2016, at Boldo Cemetery in Jasper. Morris Murray will officiate.
Akins was preceded in death by her father, Dempsey Cleveland Murray; mother, Velma Elizabeth Baird Murray; and husband, Oliver Akins.
She is survived by her daughter, Rita Akins Chambless (Melvin); son, Gary Wayne Akins (Cecilia); brother, Jerry Murray; three granchildren; and six great-granchildren.
