Mark Robert Andersen, 58, passed away on August 21, 2013. Mark was born in Jacksonville, FL in 1955, the son of Cristen Andersen and Miriam Green Andersen.

Mark graduated from Sandalwood High School Class of 1973 and Florida State University in 1977. He was in sales for Air Gas and he was active throughout the community with the Morocco Shrine where he enjoyed being a member of the Steel Drum Unit. He was a Deacon with Mandarin First Christian Church as well as an active FSU Alumni and JSC Club Member.

He is survived by the light of his life, his son, Mark Tyler Andersen; his father and mother, Cristen and Miriam Andersen; his sister, Kathryn Andersen Avirett (Joe); along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Celebration of Mark's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 25th in First Christian Church, 11924 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32223 with Rev. Fred Woolsey and Dr. John Hibbard as Officiants. Memorial contributions may be made in Mark's name to the Shriners Hospital for Children Transportation Fund, c/o Morocco Shrine Center, 3800 St. Johns Bluff Rd. S., Jacksonville, FL 32224 or to First Christian Church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville, FL.
