Maureen Theresa Mulhern, daughter of Charles H Keating, Jr. and Mary Elaine Fette Keating, died at her home of heart arrhythmia at age 39. She was survived by her husband, Thomas Mulhern, 5 daughters and 1 son. She was also survived by her parents; 3 sisters and 1 brother. Her funeral arrangements were by Whitney and Murphy Arcadia Funeral Home. Her funeral was at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Phoenix.

Maureen was especially devoted to her home and family. She fervently participated in her children's development, both at home and at school. She was a wife and the mother of six children, all of whom survived her. Her sister was quoted as saying, "Maureen spent the last 13 years of her life perfecting the art of being a wife, and then a mother. It was a role which fit her better than anything else she had worked on. Those who met her would frequently comment on her grace and charm. Her family said, "She embraced life with a zest that infected all those around her."
