He was retired from the City of Los Angeles. He lived his life providing for his family. He enjoyed traveling and camping with his family and friends, especially at Yosemite and Sequoia.
He also followed his late nephew, Ritchie Valens to many performances in the community. Lelo could always be found to the right of the stage.
Lelo is survived by his six children, Eddie, Frank, Donna, Susan, Ernest and Juanita; daughter-in-law Teresa and son-in-law Richrd; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Leah and Xavier and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
