Mary Ann Clineff, 72, of Caln Township, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at her home under the care of Neighborhood Hospice. She was the loving wife of the late David E. Clineff, Sr., sharing 42 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2008.
Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, Mary Ann was the daughter of the late Theodore and Anna Meko Letnainczyn. Mary Ann attended Chester High School, graduating in 1962, the Class that chose the orange and black school colors.
She spent most of her life as a homemaker in Thorndale, and in later years she worked in the food service industry at Wawa, retiring in 2000.
Mary Ann was known for her gardens and her interest in plants and flowers. She was also known for her interest in home decorating. She was an avid shopper, always looking for bargains that she could share with her family. Mary Ann liked to travel and enjoyed visiting Maui and Cape May. She had a quest in life to find the best crab cakes. To her family, she was a dedicated and loving Mom-Mom, helping to raise her grandchildren. She taught her loved ones to always be honest and tell people how they felt.
She is survived by a daughter, Melissa Coleman, wife of William, of Coatesville; son, Theodore Clineff, husband of Amy, of Phoenixville; sister, Barbara Jean Dudek, of Garnet Valley; and 6 grandchildren, Deanna, Benjamin, Christopher, Courtney, Carey and Caleigh.
A funeral service for Mary Ann will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 11, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 East Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA, where friends and family may call from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.
