(Blankenship) and Larry Cory of Kansas City, Missouri; one brother and one sister- in-law, Keith Edward and Susan Stark of Carrollton; one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy Colleen and Mike Skiles of Independence, Missouri; two grandchildren, Johnna Cory and Ari Cory; one nephew, Derek Skiles; and three nieces, Morgan Walls and her husband, Charles, Sarah Bledsoe and her husband, Patrick, Kelly Sanders and her husband, Marcus. Charlie was a professional dealer at Ameristar in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a member of the McCroskie Creek Baptist Church. He had lived in the Carrollton area most of his life before moving to Gladstone in 1995. Charlie loved his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, mushroom hunting and fishing. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the McCroskie Creek Baptist Church, E Hwy west of Carrollton, MO. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Norborne, Missouri. Burial will be in the Fairhaven Cemetery in Norborne, Missouri.
