WORCESTER - Nellie E. (Riddell) Biladeau, 92, passed away peacefully Friday July 31, 2015 at Worcester Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. Mrs. Biladeau was born in Marlborough June 25, 1923 the daughter of the late James and Ada (Swenson) Riddell. She lived most of her life in Worcester graduating from Commerce High School. Her husband of 54 years, Norman E. Biladeau passed in 2000. Nellie is survived by her two daughters, Norell Arpin of Worcester and Nancy Sjogren and her husband Jerry of Grafton; Her 3 grandchildren, Tracy Smith and her boyfriend Paul of Rhode Island, Jessica Sjogren and her boyfriend Kevin of Worcester, Joshua Sjogren and his girlfriend Jessica of Grafton. Nellie had worked for many years at Heald Machine Corporation and then at The Fair Department Store both in Worcester. Mrs. Biladeau had been a soloist at several area churches, performed in many organizations including The Messiah Chorus, The Festival Chorus and at Veterans Hospitals. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Worcester where she taught Sunday School and recently a member of Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church in Shrewsbury with her daughter Norell. She was also active in The Girl Scouts. Nellie loved to travel with her husband Norman. She also loved her family especially her grandchildren. Nellie's family wishes to thank Worcester Rehabilitation Center and her hospice nurse Adeline Asante of Hospice Western and Central MA for the wonderful and compassionate care they gave to their mom Nellie. The family suggests you remember Nellie with memorial donations to Elder Services of Worcester Area Inc., 67 Millbrook St., Suite 100, Worcester MA 01606 in lieu of flowers. Visitation & Funeral All are invited to visit with Nellie's family Saturday August 8th from 11 am to 12:30 pm at The Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St. in North Grafton. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel immediately following the visitation. She will then be laid to rest next to her husband at All Faiths Cemetery in Worcester.
