Carlos enlisted in the Marines 5 January 1968.
He departed for Vietnam after completing his Infantry Training at Camp Pendleton, California and
arrived in Vietnam 9 July 1968 where he was assigned to Delta Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division. Carlos died as a result of fragmentation wounds to the body from hostile artillery/mortar fire at Con Thien Area, Leatherneck Square, at Outpost Alpha 4.
Carlos was married and served his country for 7 months and was KIA #32,097.
Survived by his wife, Mrs. Carlos Carbajal and his father, Carlos Carbajal of 1212 5th Avenue, Chula Vista, California and A sister and brother, Martha and Ruben Carbajal.
Carlos was buried 17 September 1968.
His brother served in the Marine Corps and retired as a Gunnery Sergeant.
