Bea was born February 26, 1921 in Superior, Wisconsin to Charles and Cecelia (Rohan) Jolin and was a Marquette resident since her teen years. She attended Bishop Baraga High School and was a 1942 graduate of St. Luke's School of Nursing. On September 26, 1942, Bea married Adlord Clement and the couple had one daughter and three sons. Bea began her nursing career working for St. Luke's Hospital in Pediatrics, Surgical and the Psych units as a supervisor. In addition, she served at St. Mary's Hospital, Iron Mountain Veterans Hospital and K.I. Sawyer's Maternity Ward. Bea truly loved her work and was a very dedicated and devoted nurse. She was a member of the former St. John the Baptist Catholic Church until its closure and currently a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church. Bea cherished her family and loved her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, sewing, planting flowers, crossword puzzles, playing cards and bingo.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathleen Clement Goodreau; two sons, Richard (Catherine) Clement and Michael Clement; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her daughter-in-law, Gayle Dixon Clement. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adlord Clement in 1974; her second husband, Alex Balwinski; her son, David Clement; her grandson, John Clement; her brother, Charles Jolin and her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Christopher Catholic Church on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 11:00 am with Rev. Jeff Johnson officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends at a reception to follow in the church hall. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery
