Though her family and friends will greatly miss her earthly presence, they know that Paroda lived a wonderful life, touching many souls in the process.
Paroda Ann was born on July 19, 1927, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to James C. and Lillian Simpson. She married Ernest R. Deitch and was his constant helpmate as he finished medical school, military service stationed in Austin, Texas and began family practice medicine in Sinton, Texas in 1952. In subsequent years, she often served as office manager for the Sinton Hospital & Clinic, while raising two daughters and one son. For many years, she also provided support and leadership for the growth and development of the Sinton Public Library.
In the last 20 years she has been especially dedicated to the 1st United Methodist Church in Sinton, where she worked to establish a local RX program which assists needy individuals in receiving medicines they cannot afford.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home on Monday, January 11, 2016.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1st United Methodist Church, Sinton, Texas on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 10:00a.m.
Burial will follow at Sinton Cemetery.
