Loverd Coleman, age 65, died on November 19, 2015
at 4:30 a.m. after losing his fight with cancer.
Loverd, known to his friends as LC or Bot, was born
in Mississippi, the 2nd son to the late Warner and
Gladys Coleman. The family moved to Alamogordo,
New Mexico in 1951 where LC was raised and
came to love the game of basketball.
He was married to Na (Kim) Coleman. He has two
children, Kory and Kerry, by a previous marriage to
Shelly Wade. He has one beautiful granddaughter
Camille.
LC is survived by three brothers Lavelle, Warner Jr., and Emery; four sisters
Mary Jo, Patra, Catha and Vera; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousin, and friends
that he loved dearly.
After graduation, Loverd moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to attend the University of
Nevada where he later decided to make Las Vegas his home.
LC loved to travel and try new things so he made many trips abroad and in the
United States experiencing new and exciting cultures.
He loved good food, a great cigar, a smooth drink, socializing with friends and
family, jazz, old school R & B and an occasional good blues tune. His smile
would light up a room, but he did not like a lot of foolishness.
LC will be truly missed. His time with us was much too short.
LC Coleman's final resting location will be:
Palms Eastern Mortuary Cemetery
7600 South Eastern, LV, NV 89123
