David Wayne Jackson, 50, of Saucier, MS, born January 26, 1965. Beloved father, husband, son and Paw Paw passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2015, in Gulfport.
David served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army for a total of 12 years. He was most proud of his service to his country. He earned many meritorious medals before he was honorably discharged. David was an electrician and worked as a lineman for Coast Electric and later with Mississippi Power Company. David never met a stranger and was quick to help anyone in need. He loved to cook, fish and was an avid hunter. Most of all he loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Wayne Jackson; a wife, Robin Jackson; and his nephew, Michael Dywayne Jackson, Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ginger Slade Jackson; his children, Brittney (Austin Voytko) Jackson, Bethney (Nicolas Ladner) Jackson, Karen (Mike) Wisnewski, Elizabeth (Derek) Roberge, Adam (Michal Thornton) Rewis, Jason (Mandy) Crose and Kendra Kanzler; his grandchildren whom he adored, Carolyne and Abigayle Voytko, Alayna and Kaylen Crose, and Addison Wisnewski; his mother, Ruth Jackson; his sister, Pam (Jeff) Ulrich; his brother, Michael (Wendy) Jackson; his best friend and brother, Gregg Baker; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
He also leaves behind his cats and his little buddy, Peanut, who was always by his side.
A visitation will be held at 12 PM on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, with the funeral service beginning at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel.
