Eddie C. Taberski

Eddie C. Taberski, 66, of 912 E. Sorin St., died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday in his home. Mr. Taberski has retired after 31 years as an auto mechanic for Indiana Yellow Cab Co. He was born March 4, 1921, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. In 1943 he married the former Stella B. Kaminski. She died March 10, 1966. On March 20, 1974, he married the former Geraldine Allgood, who survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Elizabeth Hack of Titusville, Fla., Susan Taberski of South Bend, Victoria Lyvers of Mishawaka and Helen Anderson in New York; four sons, Edward Taberski, Thomas Taberski, Art Anderson, all of South Bend and Lee Roy Anderson of Bremen; 25 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Irene Nespo and Gertrude Niespodziany, both of South Bend; and a brother, Raymond of South Bend.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where the parish rosary will be said at 8 p.m.He was a veteran of World War II.
