There entered into rest prepared for the people of God, on December the first at Bellevue, Christy Cameron, wife of the late Alexander McDonald. Mrs. McDonald was born at Cameron's Isle, Point Prim, on July 12th, 1934. She was one of a family of ten children of whom two survive her. She was married on the 17th of March, 1864. A family of nine children were born to this union all of whom survive her. She was a women who began her life with her husband in pioneer days. But with supreme courage and with an optimism that remained with her through the years, she radiated good cheer, and inspired both husband and children towards successful careers. She was a living exponent of Christian hospitality and true neighborliness. Intensely active and alert physically , she was about almost to the last, although her memory was impaired. But on the evening of December the first she fell asleep. "Blessed the sleep from which no one wakes to weep." Rev. A.J. McLellan, Valleyfield, where she was a member for many years conducted the funeral service in her home.
