Hugh Milton Welch was born on October 27, 1937, to Charlie and Mamie Lee Brotherton Welch in Middleton, Tennessee. Milton worked as a machinist at TCI in Ashland, MS, for 14 years. He worked as a production supervisor for Piper Impact in New Albany, MS, for 21. He served as a Justice Court Judge for District 3 in Tippah County for 8 years. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the Macedoinia Deentown Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nancy Carolyn Lence Welch of Ripley, MS; one son: Garry Hugh Welch and his wife, Tracy, of Nesbit, MS; three sisters: Marie Lence of Ripley, MS; Carolyn Barkley and her husband Ricky of Grand Bay, AL; and Bonnie Lower and her husband Bill of Walnut, MS; six grandchildren: Micah Hugh Welch, Rachel Darlene Welch Cline (Jarrod), Dillion Thomas Tacker, Luke Lunday Tacker, Maya Machee Welch, and Sierra Renee Welch.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
