Early Life: AJ was born on March 2, 1984, in Portland, Oregon, to Bill and LaRae Steen. He was a graduate of Ferris High School in Spokane, Washington, where he excelled at football.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: He served a two-year mission in the Little Rock Arkansas Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. AJ worked at a variety of sales positions across the country while he worked to complete his degree from Utah Valley University. While going to school, AJ met his wife, Jessica Anne Jensen. On January 9, 2010, they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He cherished his wife and was an exceptionally devoted husband. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters: Reagan (4) and Ariana (11 months). He loved being a father and spending time with his family was most important to him. His girls adored his tender cuddles, his way of making them laugh and his ability to make them feel how proud he was to be with them. He was the light of their life. AJ was always eager to help and serve others in any way he could without ever wanting any recognition. AJ had a vibrant and outgoing personality. He had a gift of making others feel important and accepted. He was a natural leader and an exceptional athlete. He always saw the best in people and could strike up a conversation with anybody about any topic. He loved to learn and was very intelligent, but he truly was humble, teachable and kind. He will forever be an example in his loved ones' lives. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church and had a strong testimony of his Savior, Jesus Christ. He strived daily to live his life in way that he could have the spirit and lead his family. Alexander J. "AJ" Steen passed away on Sunday June 14, 2015, in Spanish Fork, Utah.
