Dr. Simon E. Cooper, 48, a dentist with offices in the State Tower Building, died suddenly Sunday afternoon at his home, 326 Bruce Street. A graduate of the College of Dentistry at the University of Buffalo, he was a member of Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity, of Joshua Lodge 584, Knight of American Legion Post 41, and of Onondaga Post 131, Jewish War Veterans. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Esther Cooper; a son, Pvt. Theodore Cooper, Fort Bragg, N. C.; a daughter, Miss Wilma Cooper; his father, Meyer Cooper; three brothers, Jacob, Samuel and Benjamin Cooper, and five sisters, Mrs. Edward Rosenthal of Schenectady, Mrs. Samuel Serling of Binghamton, and Mrs. Ida Freeman, Mrs. Samuel Cupperman and Mrs. Albert Robbins, all of Syracuse. Funeral services will he conducted at 1 P. M. Tuesday at the Birnbaum funeral home, with burial in Jamesville Gate Cemetery.
