Melchor Clemente era esposo de Luisa Walker de Carolina, Puerto Rico. Tuvieron 7 hijos: Daniel, Luis Daniel, Rosa María, Osvaldo, Justino, Andrés y Roberto Clemente y Walker. Vivían en el Barrio San Antón en Carolina, Puerto Rico.

Su hijo menor, Roberto Clemente Walker, fue y siempre será la mayor gloria de Puerto Rico. Rompió barreras culturales y raciales para pasar a ser el mejor jugador de beisbol profesional de la isla, siempre recordado y adorado por su pueblo, al igual que por los ciudadanos de Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, donde se encuentra a la entrada del Three River Stadium, donde jugaba, una gigante y hermosa escultura suya en la cual se repasa su vida, por siempre recibiendo a los que entran al mismo.

Melchor Clemente was the husband of Luisa Walker from Carolina, Puerto Rico.They had 7 children: Daniel, Luis Daniel, Rosa María, Osvaldo, Justino, Andrés and Roberto Clemente y Walker. They lived in Barrio San Antón in Carolina, Puerto Rico.

He was the son of María Clemente from Carolina, Puerto Rico.

He worked until 1968 as a foreman in a sugar plantation.

His younger son, Roberto Clemente Walker, was and will forever be the greatest glory of Puerto Rico. He broke cultural and racial barriers to become the greatest professional baseball player in the island, always remembered and adored by everyone in the island, as well as by the people of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where there is, at the entrance of the Three River Stadium where he used to play, a gigantic sculpture of him in which his life is celebrated, forever welcoming everyone who enters the stadium.

Melchor Clemente was 91 years old.
