He broke cultural and racial barriers to become the greatest professional baseball player in the island, always remembered and adored by everyone in the island, as well as by the people of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where there is, at the entrance of the Three River Stadium where he used to play, a gigantic sculpture of him in which his life is celebrated, forever welcoming everyone who enters the stadium.
