OBITUARY
MISS ADA BLAMEY
Much regret was felt when the news reached Wagga on Saturday of the death that morning of a native of Wagga, Miss Ada Blamey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Blarney, and a sister of Messrs. J. C. and R. H. Blamey, jun., and Mrs. C. L. Daley, of Wagga. The death occurred at the residence of her father and mother, 34 Clarence-street, Rockdale, Sydney. Miss Blamey was the fourth daughter of Mr. and. Mrs. R. H. Blamey, and had been ill only a very short time. A message was received, at Wagga on Thursday night that Miss Blamey was seriously ill, and her two brothers and Mrs. Daley caught the express train on Friday morning for Sydney. Since Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Blamey, senr., and Miss Blarney left Wagga in 1904 to live in Sydney. Miss Blamey made several visits to Wagga to see her brothers and sister, the last occasion, being at the latter end of 1930. Brigadier General T. A. Blamey (Commissioner of Police in Victoria) is also a brother and he went through to Sydney on Friday night. Her father, although a great age, paid a visit to Wagga recently and left for Sydney again, only on last Saturday week. The late Miss Blamey had unselfishly devoted herself to her parents. Her father is 85 years of age and her mother 83. The death of their daughter will be a severe shock to her parents and the sympathy of the community will be extended to the members of this well known and much esteemed family. There were among the survivors two other sisters, Mrs. Hotchkiss (Rockdale) and Mrs. Marshal (Peakhurst). The funeral took place yesterday in Sydney.
